Faher Christmas (also known as Santa) is not a myth. He is a real person, that prepares for the 24th and 25th December (Christmas Eve and Day), for the whole of the previous year. He has many elves and reindeer to help him get ready for such a big event in what is really such a short time. If children aren't in bed late enough, Father Christmas may be delayed in getting your presents to you, so you MUST, MUST, MUST stay in bed and enjoy Christmas Day for when you wake up, run down stairs and gasp at your presents.
Enjoy your Christmas this year,
Yours sincerely, the Elf near you ;)

the origin of father Christmas started at Christmas
The name "Father Christmas" originated in the mid-17th century when traditional Christmas celebrations of feasting and drinking were frowned upon by Puritans. People that supported the traditional celebrations personified Christmas itself in order to spread the idea of a cheerful occasion. The term "Father" was used to suggest that Christmas was a Christian persona.
