The place where i come from is Stirling Scotland before it was named Stirling it was spelt Sterling and before that it was named Striven. In the Ochill hill's in Sterling was a silver mine and the silver that was mined from it was 925 silver and 75 part's copper as it was the highest quality it was made the bench mark for all silver to be aligned to hence the trademark Sterling Silver
