it is very easy to do. i took a safety pin and did it but your supposed to use a gaged needle. there is a special secret for professionals. there is a spot at the tip of your nose has no cartalige ,just skin. so you try to find that spot before you pierce your nose. then you sterilize everything. then you pull down your septum then you try to shove the needle throuh that spot as quick as possible to avoid alot of pain. once the needle is in, you take the earing and shove it through your pierced septum and you are done. i am 12 years old and i did mine myself and it hasn't got infected and also it is very easy to hide. and it didnt really hurt and i have a low tolerence for pain.
