I have one, but have found very little information on it. Mine is .50 Caliber and in quite nice condition. It has had a crack in the grip area, but repaired very well. Keep working the internet ... somewhere there is a good site.
Try the Browning Arms Co web site. http://www.browning.com/customerservice/ownersmanuals/index.asp
A few hundered to the GNP of a third world nation, depending on EXACTLY what you have.
Dont believe Browning chambered a rifle for the 6mm Remington cartridge. Do you mean 6.35mm (a pistol)?
BAR stands for Browning Automatic Rifle, not browning association rifle.
Browning did not make the Model 70, Winchester did. Also, the serial number is not a valid Browning serial number for a 7mm Magnum rifle. Please doublecheck your information.
Since you did not provide the serial number, you can check the Browning web site (has serial number information on it). Also, the Blue Book of Gun Values has serial number information on Browning's.
The Browning. No Contest there.
You will have to call Browning.
This is a Browning .22 auto rifle made in 1968.
