"The Golden Age of Shotgunning" by Bob Hinmam & published by the Wolfe Publishing Co. is the only source I know of for info. on many of the older shotguns made in the U. S. He states that this Co. was located in New Orleans, made 12 guage hammer guns and also imported a Belgian made hammer gun and nothing else. I can speculate that these guns were probably made in the 1880/1890 time frame. Bob Hinman was shotgun editor of Shotimes Times Mag. for a while and a free-lance contributor to many firearms mag. In other words very knowledgeable on this subject. If this is all he could uncover, all I can say is good luck in your search for more info.
Ezra Baldwin Strong is a relatively unknown author and there is very limited information available about his published works.

Yes because I have a 12 gauge from the company as well.
If there is no serial number, it was imported before 1968. Markings may be under the barrel breech, on the receiver. Without seeing the gun, further information will be very limited.
