I believe that bolt action rifle has a 5 round magazine and a 10 round magazine............................
We have a Ranger bolt action rifle with a model # 103-8. We do not know the age of our gun however.
If your Ranger is a bolt action 22, it is likely a Marlin Model 81 made for Sears, and wearing their brand name. Step 1- open the bolt, and check that there is NO ammunition in the rifle. Do that twice. Then open the bolt, depress and hold trigger, and slide bolt out of the rifle. Step 2- Remove the large screw on the underside of the stock. You can now lift the action from the stock. The inner magazine tube can be turned, and withdrawn from the outer magazine tube. STOP. Do not disassemble the rifle further.
The Word ranger was used by Winchester to denote a economy version of there regular rifles and shotguns. The model 670 was a economy version of the famous model 70 bolt action rifle.Winchester also made a ranger model 94 rifle, and various ranger model shotguns during their many years of being in business.
Depends on the model, barrel length, caliber and magazine.

I believe the Peerless .22 is a department store version of the Savage Model 5 bolt action rifle. The Model 5 is the same as the Model 4 except for the addition of the tubular magazine.

The Ranger 36 cross-references to a Marlin 80 with an adjustable trigger. This model was manufactured from 1935 to 1939.
You may be able to find a magazine for a Western Field model M730 30-06 bolt action rifle by checking with gun shops, online gun parts retailers, or auction sites like eBay. It's important to ensure you are purchasing a magazine that is compatible with your specific rifle model to avoid any issues.
