Back in the day, Thalidomide was used to treat morning sickness. Problems arose after birth defects started to occur. Soon afterward the drug was banned completely. Fairly recently, thalidomide has been seen to treat illnesses such as leprosy, Kahlers disease, and possibly AIDS.

As to where it can be purchased, without a prescription, nowhere. If you need it for some illness talk to a doctor.
