Where can you buy a inc magna tip extra bold 1.6 pen?

I bought several about 4 years ago at a dollar store, and at the time I didn't realize what a hard time I'd have replacing them. However, if you replace the 1.6 tip and put it into a regular Bic pen ink cartridge, you can get many more uses out of the points you have that are empty. The Bic ink cartridge is the same diameter as the original Magna, so it works. You might find other ink cartridges that work too, but I've tried many, and the Bic seems to be the best fit to refill with. The Bic cartridge is a little too long sometimes for the magna cartridge, and so I just cut a bit off of it, and then replace the Bic pen point on the back end of the cartridge when I put it into the Magna cartridge, and then just screw the magna end cap back on. I've also just put a little wad of tissue into the end of the magna barrel, and put the cap back on, without the Bic tip on the back. That also holds the "new" ink replacement in place. You can do this for any color you want to replace, by just using that color Bic ink pen. I've only had one magna tip die on me and leak really bad after doing this several times. Can't beat that 1.6mm tip. My handwriting is much better with the big tip. -Jim Mitchell
