"there are quite a few places to get a laptop repaired. My personal favorite is small repair shops. you can do a local search via internet or the old fashioned yellow pages. my second sugestion is take it to the Geek Squad at Best Buy. They are very smart and fast. and my advice, unless you know what you are doing DONT do it yourself"
You can either get someone to fix it, or take it to your local dump and see if they can recycle it or "throw it away", aka export it to Another Country where it will be dumped. (E-Waste)
Why, are you trying to get another one? Stop blaming the company.
You can Actually get it fixed. Or depending on how it is broken. If only the top cover is off, you can push into it. If that piece in there is gone, go to a local computer shop or something to fix it :D

The Esperanto words for broken and fixed are rompita and fiksa.

It matters on what type of laptop it is.
Unfortunately, I haven't heard much as to how well Geek Squad is, but it is worth giving it a shot. My stepdad took his laptop there to get it fixed, and luckily he had a warrenty so they let him pick out a brand new laptop.
A good computer shop should be able to replace broken parts to fix this.
One can get a broken HP C7115A printer fixed at any electronics repair store. Most cities have local electronics repair places, but these can also be fixed at Best Buy.
