The best type of hay to feed a bunny is Timothy hay because it is high in fiber and low in calcium, which is important for a bunny's digestive health. Alfalfa hay is a popular choice among bunny owners because it is high in protein and calcium, making it a good option for young, growing bunnies or pregnant or nursing rabbits. However, it should be fed in moderation to adult bunnies as excessive calcium can lead to health issues like bladder stones.
