Where can 14 yr olds work?

try you local grocery store. they usually will hire minors to bag or get carts. also try some the the local fast food chains. espiecally if they are close to a high school or college. most places will only let you work 16 hours a week and no later than 7pm on school days. also try to find youth programs that offer jobs for youth. like rent a kid.

To be gainfully employed (work for a business) you must be 14 or older.

There are limits on the number of hours per week and days as well as the jobs that may be performed. Some states require a work permit for minors.

At 14, you could easily work:

• in a business owned or operated by their parents
• on a private farm hand picking fruits and vegetables
• delivering newspapers and/or periodicals
• caddy at a public Golf course
• umpire/referee for a municipal league
• as an actor/actress in Radio, TV, or the Stage

You can also do casual labor (working in a private home) such as baby-sitting, tutoring, pet-sitting, yard-work etc.

macdonalds is a good place ! ^^ noooo they're wicked mean to you and always make you go in the first window which is the stupidest thing ever you have to sit back there for 8 hours at a time and they make you put together stupid happy meals... its wicked boring... at the mcdonalds near my house you have to be 16 to work there.

Pretty much nowhere- so start your own business! Be creative! Start dog-walking, house-sitting, babysitting, cleaning, etc. You'll have $$ in no time if you advertise around town with signs and to family/friends. :)
