If you are asking what binge drinking is, it refers to drinking large amounts in a relatively short period of time, just to get drunk. Binge drinkers may go for a while without drinking, but then they will drink to extremes. This can have dangerous consequences for a person's health or cause them to do things they might not normally do when sober.

If you are asking when the last time was that I indulged, the answer is never. I am one of those people who is a total non-drinker and I have never taken my first alcoholic drink. I much prefer a good milkshake.

A 'binge' is a short period of excessive indulgence. It usually refers to alcohol or food consumption. The word 'spree' is a similar concept. Someone who engages in binge-drinking may have significant periods of sobriety, which might last weeks or months. Is binge drinking fun?

No. If you drink too much at one time (ie. binge drinking) you'll puke, pass out, or worse - blackout. Then..when you wake up in the morning, your head will be literally pounding..you'll probably still be throwing up and you'll feel like death..or at least you'll want to die..but have fun ;)

How atherosclerosis prevented by alcoholism?

Atherosclerosis is not prevented by alcoholism. Heavy drinking is a well-known cause. However, constant drinking (as opposed to binge drinking) does not seem to cause it to develop as rapidly. Studies in Finland have shown that people who drink large quantities of alcohol (a bottle of vodka) and then remain relatively abstinent for a period of time (binge drinkers), seem to develop atherosclerosis more rapidly. Binge drinking of beer shows even more of an association with atherosclerosis. Constant drinkers seem to develop it more slowly. A reasonable hypothesis would be that this is related to the shock the liver receives from having suddenly to deal with large quantities of alcohol, but that requires further study.
