The Remington model 722 rifles were made from 1948-1962.To get the exact year of production,Remington used a barrel date letter code which can be found just ahead of the receiver on the barrel.This will be a 2,or 3 letter code.Then go to Remington,s web site and find the letter code system and date your rifle to the correct year.I have 2 Remington model 722 rifles,one in 300Savage caliber and the other in .244 Rem.caliber and would not sell either one.They are wonderful and accurate rifles.
