When was Ebenezer Scrooge born and when did he die?

The date of his brith ws never mentioned in the story. Many adaptaions have alluded to it but none have been speciific. However, based on Dickens descriptions its is assumed Scrooge was about 60 years old in 1843 when his death was foretold by the Ghost of Chrsitmas Yet to Come - He would die on Christmas Eve 7 years after Jacob Marley its therefore assumed he was born circa 1783
