I had a spontaneous back healing with a form of healing called Light Axis Healing.
If its a curved barbell, you should be able to just slide it back in. If theres a problem, like it only goes in halfway, the skin has probably already started healing and you'll have to get it repierced. Don't just shove it through, that'll increase irritation and risk of rejection
As long as you are healing, you don't have to go back to have new stitches put in.

If you can prove it, you should ask for it back. Whether you get it back or not, I'd definitely no longer be friends with that person.

Either push it back in by yourself, or go back to the shop you got it done and have them re-pierce it. You should really evaluate if you want the piercing back in because once its closed, to re-pierce it they use a taper, which hurts a lot. I probably will never let anyone taper me again.
