The Rolling block was made in 1907
Don't have serials quite that early as this one, it's 1890 or 1891.
1907
Without knowing who made it the question can't be answered.
You will have to contact Remington.
It depends on the model, as the Stevens was made in numerous models, and the values can vary greatly!
Prior to 1905 is the best answer I can provide
The Model 4 is a rolling block. They made ~350,000 from 1890 to 1933 in calibers from 22 short to 32 long...
Yes there is a Savage Model 72. It is a .22 LR single shot with an octagon barrel. It has a Falling or Rolling block action. They were made around the early to mid 70's.
Never that's probably the patent date, I suspect your talking about a (maybe a number 1) rolling block? I believe they were made as late as 1909.
I can help a little.Your remington model 4 rolling block was made between the years 1890-1933.There waas a solid frame model and a takedown model available. These were chambered in 3 calibers..22,.25 caliber stevens, and in .32 cal. These had a 22.5in barrel,or a 24 inch barrel with both being octagon barrels. There was approximately 50,000 made during this time span.I hope this helps. Well by 1905 they were almost to serial 170,00 so before then.
The short answer is nothing, the day or the rolling block was generally over. The model 6 wasn't a replacement but an inexpensive alternative to compete against other vendors and was basically made concurrently.
