The Crosman 22 Magnum was made between 1978 and 1989. there were three variations made, the first variation had a chrome receiver(1978 to 82). The second had a black receiver (1982 to 83). The third had a brown stock and forearm (1983-89).
Two more similar models also came out, the 2200B 1989-06 and the 2200W 1997-03.
The model 2200 Magnum with serial number 980000400 was manufactured in 1998. The first two digits of the serial number typically indicate the year of production, so in this case, "98" corresponds to 1998.

Your Browning auto-5 magnum shotgun was made in the year 1960.
That was made for Sears by Crosman, and I dont know of any published lists on those. You might contact Crosman for further information.

Crosman never made a .22 cal BB rifle. They made several .22 Cal Pellet rifles over the years. Several are still in production.
The "First model Rifle" was made in 1923. The first gun was around 1947.
