That would be a small frame HAMMERLESS, auto ejecting, hinged frame model. From the serial number, it is most likely a 2nd Model 1st Variation made between 1905 - '08. It would be capable of handling smokeless/Nitro powder loadings - IF in safe condition to fire. It was chambered for the .32 S&W (the short one) cartridge ONLY, and so marked on the left side of the barrel.
Consult with a good gunsmith.
