Princess Pauahi's purpose in creating a school for Native Hawaiians or the Kamehameha Schools had everything do with helping her people, the Hawaiians to have the same opportunities she saw the foreigners had. She wasnted to improve the capability and well-being of her people through educational oppurtunities. She wanted her school to create the Hawaiian leaders of tomorrow.
