Diego Rivera's inspiration was mainly his Indian nanny named Antonia. She developed his love for the indigenous culture and was very inspirational to him. He was somewhat of a "womanizer" you could say, so it might be difficult to argue that his wife(s) was inspirational to him despite his apparent love of her.
