Well what not to talk about is:

- the weather

- the day

- don't start it off as "how you doing?" or "what's going on?"

- don't blab on about yourself and your life story,

unless the other person asked to hear it

- avoid the common questions e.g. whats your favourite food

If things are really difficult, play a game. Like 20 questions or something.

Or truth or dare.

You can talk about common interests, ask open-ended questions to get to know the other person better, share funny or interesting anecdotes, or plan future activities together. Remember to be yourself and show genuine interest in the conversation.
