If that should happen, hold down the middle button and the Menu button together for about 10 seconds, and it should work again- should that not work, call Apple or visit the Apple site for further assistance.

You can connect your iPod to the first computer it was synced with or the computer set as the primary one in iTunes. Open the iTunes application, then disconnect your iPod from the computer, and it should no longer be locked. hope this help
