It depends on what city you live in. Coca-Cola and Pepsi both split the rights of Dr. Pepper, so in cities where Coke owns the rights to Dr. Pepper they cannot sell Pibb Xtra in 12 packs or bottles. However they can sell it on tap in restaurants that sell Coke products, but if Pepsi is the rights owner, then Coke can sell Pibb Xtra in 12 packs and bottles.
It's actually Pibb Xtra (leave off the "E") and it's exactly the same as the old Mr. Pibb. The name was phased out for marketing purposes.
