Not usually. There are several factors involved besides the spring, but the .22 will usually use a stronger spring to propel the heavier pellet.
Pellgun oil by Crosman. Do not use anything else. It will ruin the seals.
There are several ways of making an Air rifle perform better, but most are costly. You could have an air rifle expert "TUNE" it for you. That is have the spring cylinder polishes and the spring either replaced or have it trimmed. The trigger is also another popular item to replaced. All of these can cost as much as the rifle is worth. To locate someone to "Tune" the rifle for you, try the web under "Air gun repair' or "Airgun tuning." One simple way to increase the FPS of an airgun is to put a flat thin sponge in the bottom of your pellet tin, then place a few drops of "Crosman Pellgun Oil' in the sponge. Place your pellets back in the tin and roll them around in the oily sponge. this will lubricate the pellets and they will lubricate the barrel. You will also get a faster FPS and you will notice the difference. Never use regular oil it can damage the seals. Always use Crosman Pellgun oil or RWS pellet gun oil.
The Underlever on an Air Rifle is a bar that runs just under the barrel and is hinged inside the stock. It is used to cock the spring in the rifle. Some air rifles use a sidelever but they also do the same thing as an underlever. The lever must be re-cocked after each shot.
All pellet guns use compressed air or gas. 1. Spring piston: Cocking the barrel of the rifle compresses the spring and piston inside the rifle or gun that is located in an air cylinder. When you pull the trigger it releases the spring and as the spring shoots forward, it pushes compressed air ahead if it that forces the pellet out the barrel. 2. Co2: A Co2 bottle it inserted into the gun or rifle, and it is full of compressed Co2. When you pull the trigger a burst of Co2 gas is released and the gas pushes the pellet out the barrel. This same idea is used for the larger PCP rifles only they use a much higher pressure bottle. 3. Pump: When you pump the forearm of the rifle it stores air in an air chamber. When you pull the trigger all the air is released behind the pellet forcing it out the barrel. BB guns work the same way.
Mis-use
Yes.
Gun or Rifle. there is a big difference. As for range What power plant do you intend to use. Spring, C02, Pump or PCP? If it PCP then you have the range of a real rifle, at least 1/4 mile
While it varies somewhat from one design to another, they all use compressed air (or another gas) to push the pellet out of the barrel at high speed. Some have a piston that is pushed by a spring, compressing the air and releasing it at the end of the stroke. Some use an air pump that compresses air into a tank, and releases the air when the trigger is pulled.
You will need to specify the use.
No, it is a cheap spring gun and could not be used in an airsoft match
No. It uses plastic bb's.
