It's R.S.V.P that's how I wrote it on my wedding invitations!
Yes
It is possible that a wedding planner will handle RSVP's but they already have so much to do. A better idea would be to have a designated person, like an aunt of the bride, handle them.
The average time to RSVP would usually be about a month out from the wedding. This way the couple has a chance to plan for how many people there will be at the wedding.
yes, at the bottom left hand corner
generally, RSVP's are returned to the bride or the bride's family. Other times, whoever is "hosting" (i.e. paying for the wedding) manages this detail. However, in special circumstances, just about anybody can be the recipient so long as they are dependable.
Yes, the bridal party should receive a wedding invitation as a memento of the wedding that they can look back on in the future.
Respondez sil vous plait
It is only etiquette that when you have been given the honor of attending a wedding and for some reason you can't make it then you should send the RSVP back as soon as possible and that you are sorry you are unable to attend. Two weeks before the wedding (if you live out of town) then send the wedding gift to the bride's parent's home and addressed to the bride and groom as Mr. & Mrs. John Doe (example.)
Since the wedding is December 28th, 2010 the wedding invitations should be going out right away because Christmas is a very busy time and this gives guests a chance to arrange their schedules so they can attend the wedding.
Since a wedding is a formal event, you should include a response card with the invitation.Once upon a time, people didn't need response cards. When they received a written invitation, they would RSVP on their own stationery, offering congratulations and whether or not they would be able to attend. With the invention of the telephone, it became customary to include a response card for formal invitations, and to ask people to RSVP by telephone for casual invitations.Through RSVP card, tou will get a clear idea of how many guests to expect on your big day by choosing one of our wedding response cards.Through dreamweddingcard, you can order RSVP cards, you can change them with your wordings and designs and also you will have more idea.
I would suggest you RSVP as soon as you receive the invitation - if you are sure if you are attending or not. This way you won't forget to return the RSVP card. Otherwise, note the date that this card is due back (it is written inside the card when they need to have your answer) and mark it in your blackberry or on a calendar so you don't forget to send it back.
