well, food can't really KEEP them from coming in your tent. they are attracted to all sorts of smells (meat, sugar, etc...) your best chance is to not keep any food in the tent
Wipe it down with a bleach/water solution and let it dry in the sunshine. If there is food or other debris in the tent, clean that appropriately.
