If you mean for the first time, then definitely tell your parent or guardian. If you don't want to or feel uncomfortable, then you need to get a pad, I would never recommend a tampon, unless you have seen a genicologist or your doctor has given you the okay. If you do not own any or can't find any then I would just substitute it with toliet paper, if your in school, then there is a 99% chance that your nurse will have them stocked up, and will be more then happy to supply you with one. If you don't know how to apply one, then you really should talk to someone, especially your mother or nurse, they'll surely know how to do it, and will be more then happy to pass on the knowledge.

There's no fun in playing it safe. Why not try something a little unhinged?

I've poured enough drinks to know that people don't always want advice—they just want to talk.
