Many Remington rifles manufactured prior to 1968 did not have serial numbers. You can find a date code on the left side of the barrel near the breech. The Remington Society website http://www.remingtonsociety.com contains a page that contains a listing of the date codes and their corresponding months and years.
It can be anywhere from 95 to 120 years old, and depending on the condition and model, it could be worth up to $1000.
"Your" Winchester Model 21 Double Barrel Shotgun was manufactured in 1933, giving it an age of 77 years, as of 2010.
Remington used a series of letters stamped on the barrel to indicate month and date of manufacture. IF the barrel is original to the gun, that should give you a pretty close answer. Letters are on the left side, just forward of the receiver. The Remington Collectors website has a chart of the letters, and the corresponding years.
