In my opinion, the best option is an inside the waistband or outside the waist band strong side hip holster. These seem to provide the best combination of concealability and accessibility. In a real life gun fight, it doesn't make much difference how concealed something is if you can't get to it quickly enough. Just a few days ago, I was conversing with a woman who told me a small gun in her purse was perfectly acceptible, and very fast. She opened her purse to look for it and in the time it took her to find it, I took my gun out of the holster, put it back in, and took two knives out of my pocket and opened them. Personally, I do not consider that fast enough. People will argue that those types (IWB or OWB) of holsters are impossible to conceal, however, I wear one or the other every day of my life, every place I go, and no one ever knows I'm am wearing a gun. I have even had, on two different occassions, someone argue with me that I couldn't possibly be carrying a gun because they would be able to see it. In both instances, I was carrying two guns, two knives, a spare magazine, a flashlight, and OC spray, and neither person knew I had any of it.
