usually a size 14-16 is considered to be an extra large (XL) and the 18-20 is considered an XXL or a 1X. With this in mind, please also note that although there is a universal standard size chart for clothing, it seems that every single brand name or company fits differently, also the type of fabrics must be taken in to consideration too, a tight or synthetic weave such as a polyester blend will have very little stretch to it, while a cotton/Lycra blend will be much more forgiving.
