A Christmas prayer involves giving thanks for all of the many blessings and wonderful people that you are surrounded with. Acknowledgement of what was sacrificed so that you may have what you have today is often included as well. A thankful and humble prayer is most commonly said at Christmas dinner.
Turkey is the traditional meat for Christmas dinner.
Christmas dinner plates can be nicely designed with red, green, and gold colors. It is also nice to have an image of a Christmas tree or an ornament in the center of the plate or around the plate.
Goose and turkey are more common Christmas dinner fowl. Ducks are rare. You could roast the duck but you could also prepare it any way that suited you, including the incredible Mandarin Duck.
Fried carp, sacher torte and Christmas cookies are eaten, and many other chocolate delicacies including edible Christmas ornaments. Christmas dinner is usually goose, ham served with gluhwein, rumpunsch, and chocolate mousse.
They have a cake called La Buche de Noel that is served after the dinner. Goose is popular as is marinated duck breast. Roast turkey are often served and in the South West of France these may be accompanied by hot crepinettes (a sort of sausage). Some people also have foie gras at their Christmas dinner.

A good Catholic should pray before they eat every time, even if it is just a snack. Does every Catholic pray grace before every meal? I kind of doubt it, but it is certainly the thing that they should be trying for. Our Blessed Lord told us to pray always - without ceasing, in other words our entire life should be a prayer, well, sometimes, that has got to be in words!
