Nash Bridges used a highly modified Colt 1911 pistol. On the show it was supposedly a 38 Super caliber. It had a silver hardchrome frame and blued/blackened slide. The slide was a shorter officers size with a barrel attached two-port compensator. It had Bomar adjustable combat sight in rear with a semi-ramped front sight. Beavertail grips safety and extended mag release, slide release as well as extended thumb safety. It also had a magwell. The top of the slide was grooved and the trigger guard slightly squared in front. He carried it in a Galco shoulder holster. A very unique pistol that would have been more seen on the competition shooting circuit than the street, but it sure looked tough. It was designed by famous IPSC shooter Jim Zubiena and built by Mac McDonald of Mac's .45 shop in California. (*Mac's .45 shop is no longer in business as he passed away a few years back).
