Yes, I have one in hand but don't know what year it was manufactured. With a six letter serial number.
Excel shotguns were made by Crescent, Crescent-Davis, Iver Johnson, and J. Stevens. If it was made by one of the first two, the number probably isn't a true serial number and the exact age cannot be determined. There are a couple of experts who MIGHT be able to place one of the other two into a range of +/- 5 years.

Hallet Davis & Co. started with serial 163000 in 1938. Your serial 163344, then, would have been produced fairly early on in the year. As a pre-1960 build, we can also assume this is a grand piano; Hallet Davis did not start producing uprights until after 1960.
N R Davis & Sons operated from 1883 to 1917. Value of a fully functioning double is $150-$250.

I don't know but if you find out let me know I have #41, mine has hammers and the release is on top. What I can find out is it was made between 1880 and 1900. Thanks and good luck.
