value depends on overall condition..............
650-1300 USD
If not factory, basically impossilbe. If factory, you will have to compare to Colt Catalogs.
Made around 1939. Is it chrome plating, or factory nickel? Contact Colt Firearms, and ask them for a 'factory letter' that will tell you whem the gun was made, what finish it had, who it was shipped to, etc. If the gun was refinished, the value usually goes down. Get the factory letter, and go from there.
A Government Colt with that serial number was made in 1919 in a Colt factory.
As far as its history is concerned you can go to colt and for a fee they will provide you with a Letter from colt describing when the gun was made and when it was shipped from the factory and who it was shipped to.They also will include the amount of guns in the shippment. As to the value you would be better off to have it valued by a qualified colt collectors assoc.member or gun collector. The value of these colts could be considerable.
If the gun appears unfired or factory fired only and does include the factory colt box and paperwork, it would typically be worth somewhere between $4500-$5000 in mint condition. I have a consecutive numbered set of Boa's myself (one 4" and one 6") that are pristine and only factory fired and they are only going to continue to increase in value.
100-1000 if factory original
100-1000 USD depending on condition and if it letters as factory correct.
Depends on overall condition and if the nickel is factory or after market. Range from 0-500 USD.
