the 788 in 44mag was only made for 3 yrs. 1967-1970 the 788 model was made from 1967-1983 the 44 mag and the 30-30 are probably the two rarist calibers.as for the value it all depends on condition, from poor to pristine your values fluxuate. on the low end a good estimate is 500.00us. the high end 800.00us,but make sure that the factory magazine is included because a missing clip will drastically affect the deal(needle in a haystack) anyawy I hope that helps just remember someone can tell you its worth 10grand but wheres the buyer?
