Made by Colt from 1931-1940. Only about 125 were ever made. The FBI bought 90 of them and another 20 went to police, security companies, banks, etc. 19 were made in 7.65 Argnetinian and sold to Argentina. It differed from the 1918 BAR in that the receiver was fitted with a pistol grip and ejection port cover, it was @ 4 to 4.5 pounds lighter, and had a 18"barrel. that was only 18" long. Cyclic rate of fire was 500 rounds per minute. It had a Cutts compensator which made the R80 quite controllable.

They sold for $300 USD in 1936. Military BAR's were around $3000 USD.

I saw one for sale and asking prices was $90,000 USD
