Answer:As with any collectable, value depends on condition. A late 1960's Sweet Sixteen in average used condition with normal use and handling marks usually fall in the 85 - 95% original finish range. Condition such as this would put the gun between $450-$1000. In better condition than 95%, it gets steeper the closer to mint that the gun is in. There are many being advertised in the $1500 to $2500 for near new to mint in the box; These prices are way above and beyond the Blue Book value, partially because Browning Auto 5's were dropped from the Bowning line in 98. Remember the extra premium that buyers are paying is for near new to mint. I doesn't mean that the lower used guns have necesarily jumped as well. Sweet 16's with pads and polychokes lose value and should not be considered at the same price as an all original gun.
