You have a Winchester model 1910 semi-auto rifle which was made from 1905-1920.these rifles will bring between 275-550 dollars on todays market.The prices stated reflect the finish on our rifle being between 10%-80% of it,s original finish.
Without seeing the gun it is hard to ascertain. However a search on internet indicated Winchester model 1910 in .401 caliber were selling for $400-$700. Good luck.

The only semi-auto centerfire made by Browning that I know of is the BAR. AFAIK, it was never offered in 401. Provide detailed notes of all markings, barrel length, sights, wood, finish. Anything is posssible.
The drilling you describe does not appear to be a Charles Daly import. I suggest that you have the gun professionally appraised by an advanced collector.
