Answeri am wondering about this to, i have just acquired one of these H&R shot guns... it has the exact same pattent dates on the left side of the receiver... but the locking mechanism for the barrel is broken? can i still get parts for it?Wiki User

H&R had a system of putting a single letter before the serial numbers of their shotguns from 1940-1982.If yours does not have this then it could be made before or after the dates listed.If your shotgun has a model number please include this in your description to better pinpoint the year of production.

Alvin - The gun was probably made by Harrington & Richardson for Sears. It may be called the model 10 or model 120 in the H&R listings.

There is a lack of a good data base for H&R serial numbers. The seven shot early model of the Hunter revolver dates from around 1900.

Victor revolvers were made in three frame sizes beginning around 1911 and continued to approx. mid 1930's. There is no positive info on production dates of these revolvers at the current time.
If you mean "patent" dates, no, that does not necessarily indicate when the gun was manufactured. The patent date indicates when the design was patented.
