The best bet is to use a cleaning rod with a snug fitting oiled patch, insert patch, mark the rod with a flag of electrical tape aligned with the front sight, measure how far the rod must be moved to rotate the flag on the rod back to the starting direction. That length in inches is YOUR rate of twist,
