I believe that the very softest sheets you can buy are T-shirt sheets. Many different palces sell them from Walmart to JC Penneys and pricier stores. A very good second chose is egyptian cotton sheets anywhere from a 400 thread count and up. These can get very pricey, however the quality is far superior to the T-Shirt sheet sets.
What is the world's softest cotton?
The world's softest cotton is usually Egyptian cotton. However, it depends on their thread count. 500 threat count of Egyptian cotton is particularly soft.
you are definitely looking for 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets.. 1000 thread count sheets are a high quality sheet IF they are 100% Egyptian cotton and are single ply. Currently sellers can call their sheets Egyptian cotton even if they have only 1% Egyptian cotton... you need to make sure they say 100%. Also sellers can stick two 500 thread count sheets together and call that 1000 thread count. Also, it depends on what you mean by "best." 1000 thread count 100% Egyptian cotton single ply sheets will be extremely durable and will last for years, but they will not necessarily be the softest you can get. The fibers are too close together for them to relax. For SOFT sheets, 300-500 TC is probably better.
It's a matter of preference, but I prefer cotton to satin sheets.
The Keeco sheets are reasonably priced and don't have a scratchy feel to them at all.
Micro cotton bed sheets may be prone to shrinking and wrinkling if not cared for properly. Some users may find them to be less breathable compared to other natural fibers like cotton or linen. Additionally, micro cotton bed sheets may come at a higher price point compared to traditional cotton sheets.
kids like fleece sheets as these sheets will provide with the ultimate comfort and relaxation that your kid have only dreamt of as this fabric gives the softest coziest feeling when he crawl between his sheets.
"Jersey sheets are typically made of a combed cotton, not a woven cotton. As a result, they have a more ""t-shirt"" feel to them and provide an excellent stretchy fit."

I personally believe that cotton sheets are better than silk sheets because they are comfortable, less expensive and most importantly easier to clean!
