You'd need to put that into context. If you're looking for a semi-auto clone, a PTR-91 can be had for around $1100 - $1300. If you want a factory original, fully imported, pre-922r HK91, look at spending between $2500 and $3000 or better. If you want an actual select fire G3, look at spending about $15000, at least. Bear in mind that I'm answering this question under the assumption you're referring to price on the US civilian market.
