from 1907 through 1957 only 58,000+ were made, in fair condition it should fetch 500.00 for a first year production...
I myself own a Winchester model seven and I had it inspected by my local gun smith and he said it's worth around $2,225

the 1905 was probably the first semi auto rifle made. (Remington 8 was made around that time also) about 29,000 were made between 1905 and 1920 (including variations 1907 and 1910) the early models were .32wsl or, more commonly, .35wsl. later models included a .351wsl and a .401 wsl version the rounds used for these guns are specific to the guns. cant be used anywhere else and the guns wont accept any other ammo (don't try and put .35 Remington in!) the guns gained some popularity with prison guards, especially those on chain gang detail! the .35 and 351 rounds are similar to todays 357 as far as ballistics go. the 1905 is hard to come by in better than avg condition, and NOBODY makes cartriges for them anymore (Winchester stopped making 351 cartriges in the early 1980's) the only way to fire these nowadays is to load em yourself, not a cheap route as the casings for the 35's are modified from other caliber casings and the reloading dies are expensive.
Winchester made some that did. Remington also, IIRC.
Find a copy of Madis' book.
