Dermatology.
Remove the phone from the water. DO NOT turn on the phone. DO NOT test the phone. DO NOT press any buttons. DO NOT open the phone. Simply IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THE BATTERY and leave it out. The phone may or may not be ruined. In any case, its warranty is voided. The aim of the next steps is to try to save the phone while doing nothing that could harm it. That means not powering the phone until certain it's bone dry. Quickly dry the battery with a dry cloth or paper towel or tissue. Shake loose any water, and then dry it again. If the phone is dirty, it can now be cleaned with a dry or damp cloth as needed. Get no more water into the phone, though. Look carefully now, and dry any water you can see, using a dry cloth or tissue or Q-Tip. Now use compressed air to blow out any water from the phone's crevices. DO NOT REPLACE THE BATTERY OR TEST THE PHONE! Let the phone dry completely in a warm, dry place, for several days. Placing the phone in the sun can speed the drying. Blow out the phone again and let it dry again. When you're convinced the phone and battery are dry, go ahead and insert the battery and see if it works. Best of luck!
