Probably be the DeLisle Silent Carbine. It fired a naturally subsonic cartridge (.45 ACP), and used a manual action (based on the Enfield rifle), so that there was no telltale sounds of the action being worked when the weapon was fired.

Agree with above. I got to fire a DeLisle several years ago- it was so quiet, you could hear the firing pin strike the primer. Exceptional firearm.
