But on the 700's they started the A in 1970 or 1980 and the B 5 years later and continued up the alphabet HOWEVER the best way to tell is to look at the date code stamped on the barrel and that will give you month and year. Serial no? If it's a 12 gauge I have a serial list up to 1930. But I don't understand if it's a Remington Barrel how it couldn't.
