On 4th October 2009, 10 year old (not 12 years!) Chloe in Worcestershire, UK, hula-hooped continuously for 1 hour and 25 minutes, rotating the hoop approximately 9400 times. This was videoed and witnessed. Chloe had been learning to hula-hoop for only 8 weeks and broke her previous record of 50 minutes (5500 rotations).

nobody can hula hoop 4 a year straight!

10,500 times by Robert Gary Josephberg from Yonkers NY . He did it at the age of 7 in 1957 at the John Wanamakers Department store(Yonkers, NY) in front of hundred of people .It was documented in the NYC newspapers (Mirror)and witnessed by hundreds of onlookers as a promotion for the store.
