I've been drinking Dos Didos (aka Two Fingers) since the 70's. The story told back then was that the cantina that came up with it had a regular who always ordered it two fingers deep in a glass. The locals took to ordering it by asking for a "two fingers". I cannot vouch for its authenticity but it sounds pretty good after your 2nd or 3rd glass.
