to celebrate the time when Jesus Christ was born. In the beginnng of the earth God made man and woman. Satan or the devil tricked Eve ( the women ) and Adam ( the man ) into disobeying God. God told Satan that he would send a Savior who would destroy him and free everyone from the bondage of sin (the bad things that you do). A long time after that this virgin named Mary was pregnant by the holy Spirit and not by man. this baby would be the Savior of the world. This is why we celebrate Christmas : because God fufilled his promise and he sent a Savior to save us from our sins and be able to have eternal life in hevean after we die.
