Usually a light girl, or a girl whome can hold her weight in the air. A girl can be 140 lbs and be a flyer if she can hold her own weight.
No it should not. You only hold the flyer for a short time and at the age when you are cheering your bones are very strong and will not shrink.

A female flyer in cheerleading is the person at the top of a mount or usually called a pyramid.
yes u can do a stunt with only 3 people... but make sure that you have spotters... you need a flyer and then 2 bases... but the bases have to be stong or the flyer has to be light and carry her own weight...

Flying has NOTHING to do with weight. I am 105 and I am a flyer. There are people who are LIGHTER than me that are my base. The reason they aren't flyers is because they aren't balanced and they are too scared. You have to be brave, very balanced, and have confidence in yourself and your base. Your base has to be strong and you have to trust them. It will take some practice to get balance but it helps. Flyrs should NEVER be over weight and should NEVER EVER try to be under weight. It's not worth risking your health to be a flyer.
Umm... I think you're confused. You can be both. Flyer are the person flying in stunts and tumblers do all of the flipping. You can do both

It doesn't matter how much you weigh. It depends on if you have good balance and if you have strong enough bases. I know because I am a cheerleader and I have been a back spot base front spot and a flyer for cheerleading. You just need teamwork and strong cheerleaders!:)
Weight isn't all the matter's in being a flyer(girl who goes up). If you not the smallest you can still go up. doing push ups will help you get up easier, and squats too. Exerciseing and practicing stunts will make you a be flyer. For acrobatics, (diving, guymnastics etc) height can be a disadvantage as it can take a taller person longer to rotate.
